on the move
so remarkably, i spent the entire month of march in virginia (and north carolina). it was one of the longest stretches i've had in one place in over 2 years and i have to say, it was rather nice. but now that the travel reprieve is over, i'm off!
a few weeks ago i hit wilmington, nc for a day trip adventure and a few days ago i found myself back in washington dc enjoying the always extraordinary cherry blossoms and monuments. it helps that a dear friend lives in one of the best neighborhoods in the district and is always available for a drink and dinner.
tomorrow i have a 3:00 am wake up call and an early trip to the airport. i leave for the cleve and get to spend five glorious days rubbing my dogs belly and enjoying the company of my friends and family. i fly out late monday evening and land here around midnight, only to drive home, get a few hours of sleep, and leave for nashville first thing tuesday morning. from there, we're off to nashville, memphis, new orleans, and asheville road trip adventure until sunday the 19th.
and if that wasn't crazy enough, i go back to work the week of our race season kick off with a double header at VIR, followed by a visit from my parents, a weekend off, and then heading off to new jersey for race 3 of the series. needless to say, it's so good to be back on the road. my suitcase gets a little restless when it's put in our storage closet for more than 3 weeks.
